Absent Gods is the story of what happens when we idolize those who forsake us.
The Gods have been long gone for close to a century now. Despite the people's constant prayers, they have been ignored and forgotten. The King, who was chosen by the Gods, attempted to salvage what little hope of unity they could. Alas, the people grew tired, and have all split and separated. Some remained in the city, hopeful that someday, the Gods would return. Others became apostates, renouncing the Gods, while some claim that they never even existed to begin with.
Ida, a young woman, has chosen to venture out into this renounced land, to discover the truth for herself.
